Children are part of families, and so when working with a child we work with the whole family to create goals that give children and families the greatest possible opportunities for growth, fulfillment and happiness.

Whats more, we see your child as part of a community of support, which includes doctors, teachers, mentors, religious leaders, friends, tutors, social workers, and therapists. At we will develop a plan that appropriately incorporates important figures in your child’s life.

Adolescents

Adolescents encounter specific types of problems, which often emerge in the process of making the transition from childhood to young adulthood. This transition can be very challenging and practices a unique set of interventions to aid adolescents in their process.

In concert with experts in the field of adolescent psychology, we have developed a model of intervention called Psychological Mentoring. Psychological Mentoring aids in the development of young adults by supporting them in the unique ways that their parents often cannot. In the nuclear family of previous generations, the role of the mentor was often carried by a godparent or grandparent and was an important figure in the development of the child that had little to do with the everyday tasks of raising a child. With the breakdown of the nuclear family, there has been a corresponding loss for the adolescent of the mentoring figure. It is, therefore, not unusual to see an escalation in behavioral problems for adolescents, as well as the onset of new and more challenging problems, as adolescents face new challenges to compete and excel in a technologically complex world

steps right in where this loss has occurred-and the earlier the better. We provide the mentoring which is a buffer against adolescent life problems. This mentoring has been shown again and again to be a positive treatment for the reduction in behavioral problems.
